Fire doesn’t think about who it targets. It can strike at anytime, in any home or business.

In order to protect people from that threat, we need to ensure our fire safety messages are reaching as diverse an audience as possible. If we can’t connect to those audiences then there’s a good chance they won’t be fully aware of the damage fire can cause – and that’s when tragedies occur.

It’s therefore essential that we reflect, and can engage with, the communities we operate in. So we openly encourage people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us. It’s not an exercise in ticking boxes. It’s about having a team in place that can relate to the needs and concerns of a diverse range of communities. Communities that rely on us to keep them safe from harm.
